The Alpha Academy for Reaching Male Scholars (A.R.M.S.) annual scholarship is awarded to graduating male high school seniors residing in Wayne County (NC) who have maintained a 2.75 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale and who exemplify exceptional community service involvement.

Promoting academic excellence is more than the words located in our Fraternity mission statement. It is a creed and genuine belief shared by the men of Theta Omicron Lambda and one that we are committed to perpetuating through our actions.

While Theta Omicron Lambda actively works to mentor the young male residents of Alpha Arms apartments, we also partner with other entities that will expand our mentorship initiative.

The Wayne County school system, where many of our chapter brothers serve(d) as educators, has partnered with the chapter on several mentorship initiatives. This partnership allowed us to positively influence the lives of the young men within the community and has allowed the chapter to assist in furthering the education of these young men by providing academic scholarships to high school seniors who have achieved academic success and have collegiate aspirations.

We are also fortunate to have a United States Air Force Base (from which several chapter brothers have served) within the city of Goldsboro. In conjunction with the military base and individual Airmen, we will continue our efforts to help provide career opportunities for young men within the community who have expressed military aspirations in addition to, or as an alternative to, a collegiate experience.

Theta Omicron Lambda has active partnerships with the Goldsboro/Wayne County Chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Toys for Tots to provide gifts for underprivileged children to enjoy during the holiday season.

Our members are also active volunteers with the Foodbank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, assisting with providing food for those in need across 34 counties within the region.

Theta Omicron Lambda will always continue to advance the aims of our Fraternity: Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love of all Mankind.
